• What is “PLACTICS”? It mainly means Thermosetting Resin and Engineering Plastics
• What is “Possibilities”? To improve the value of products by molding with unconventional methods materials, and composite material.
• What is “Offering”? To impress customers by Daiwa Group’s products, technical advice, and response to inquiries.
• What is “First Call Company”? To be the first company for customers to inquire about plastics.

Company History

1939	Picture of the inside of our original factory in 1939. Founded Okuno Manufacturing（Okuno Seisakusho）in Kinryo cho in Sakai city, Osaka. Launched Manufacturing synthesis resin and a business as a synthesis resin molding products manufacture. Started Manufacturing and selling insulation component for electrical equipment, aircraft, cars, and oxidation resistant component for artificial silk.
1943	Reorganized and renamed to Okuno Manufacturing Ltd. Transferred Headquarters and factory to Higashi-Mikunigaoka cho in Sakai city.
1948	Increased capital to 500,000 yen to introduce a production facility for insulation parts for electrical equipment.
1955	Increased capital to 2,000,000 yen in October. Increased capital to 4,000,000 yen to enlarge production facility for increasing special high-performance switching machineries in November.
1956	Reorganized and renamed to DAIWA PLASTICS RESIN ENGINEERING Co, Ltd.
1969	Increased capital to 15,000,000 yen.
1973	Increased capital to 24,000,000 yen.
1974	Completed our head office building at the current location.
1984	Constructed a factory on headquarter grounds.
1989	Renamed to DAIWA PLASTICS Co, Ltd.
1990	Founded DAIWA PLASTICS Co, Ltd. Miyazaki branch.
1995	Founded DAIWA PLASTICS (Ho Chi Minh City Factory in VIETNAM)
1997	Founded DAIWA PLASTICS (Hanoi Factory in VIETNAM)
2005	Founded DAIWA PLASTICS THANG LONG Factory (in Hanoi, VIETNAM) (Transfered from DMC-DAIWA PLASTICS)
2013	Inducted Kentaro Okuno as CEO.

What the DAIWA PLASTICS Logo Represents.

• By combining our company initials, D and P, the symbol expresses our production sophistication and the strong bond of employees in a friendly formation
• For the logo type, we aimed to design a universally understandable yet unique font with partial accents.
• Sky blue represents development and hope. Brilliant green means harmony and stability. Combination of both colors expresses powerful dynamic images of our company and contains our wish to expand global improvement and view point by using blue as a cornerstone of robust upward mobility and green as a universal symbol of wealth.
• The logo is located at the corner and underlying space of the flag to differentiate it from other company flags and represents the unlimited growth of business.
